Well this poor baby boy can't get a break yet in life. Just when I thought we had past all of our trials...... we go to the doctor. The doctor has now discovered that Spencer has a hernia that he has to get operated on. So yesterday I took him for a consultation about the surgery and that doctor said that he has a large hernia, which is, in it's own way a good thing. The surgeon said that it is not the biggest one he has ever dealt with, but it is up there on the list. He reassured me that when it comes to hernias.. bigger is better. So in detail his hernia is a hole in the muscle going to the
scrotum that didn't have a chance to heal.... because he came so early. And the issue with that is the intestine falls into that hole and if it were a small hole it could get stuck and pinched off. Which would end up being major
surgery. So we are scheduled for
surgery February 9 and he will stay the night at the hospital so the doctors can make sure that he does not have sleep apnea or issues eating. Well that is what our next trail is to over come and hopefully the last. I will update again soon when we know what is
going to happen.
