A New Friendship

Finally Riley has learned to trust Brooklyn... at least to sit next to her, and let her hang on to his collar.
She is not always this gentle, so he has good reason to stay away from her some days. But he is a good boy and puts up with a lot from all of us in this family.

Last week we went to the zoo, and there were about 7 new babies in the zoo.... well at least they were born this year.

New Noises

Brooklyn has started this clicking noise that I believe she learned from her daddy.

Happy 8 months

Yesterday was Brooklyn's 8 month birthday, and she decided for her present she was going to start crawling. We aren't sure just what clicked all of a sudden, but it is exciting to watch her go from one side of the room to the other. She is still a little shaky but she gets where she wants to go. And it is just so cute to watch her go. She has already gotten into 3 floor plants and I'm sure they haven't had the last of her.

Life goes too fast!

Well two nights ago my mom and I were baking cookies, and Brooklyn was playing on the floor. I went to use the bathroom and my mom was looking at a magazine, and when I came out of the bathroom Brooklyn had pulled herself up with a chair and was standing!!!! It was so crazy we actually got to see her standing without our help. I am so excited, but at the same time scared now cause there is no turning back and we have a lot of baby proofing to do. These pictures are not of her first time standing, but I was so excited about it I didn't take any pictures when I first saw it happen.
